Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide information to site owners, and improve the user experience.

2. How We Use Cookies

Bedly uses the following types of cookies:

Essential Cookies (Always Active)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication session — Managed by Supabase Auth. Keeps you logged in to your dashboard. Expires when you log out or after 7 days of inactivity.
  • Cookie consent — Stores your cookie preference. Expires after 365 days.
  • CSRF protection — Prevents cross-site request forgery. Session-based.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization.

  • Language preference — Stores your selected language (EN, IT, DE, FR). Expires after 365 days.
  • Country detection — Stores your detected country for geo-based pricing (CHF/EUR). Set via Vercel header. Expires after 24 hours.

Analytics (No Cookies)

We measure how the site is used and how quickly it loads, but we do not use analytics cookies to do it.

  • Vercel Web Analytics & Speed Insights — Page views, referrer, country, device type and page-speed metrics. Stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it: no cookies, no local storage. Visitors are counted using an identifier Vercel derives on its own servers from request attributes — it is not linked to you and is not shared with anyone. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required; this rests on our legitimate interest in improving the product.

Error Monitoring (Server-side only)

Sentry captures application errors on our servers. It runs server-side only and does not set browser cookies. Emails are truncated to domain level (e.g. @gmail.com) in error reports.

Cookies We Do NOT Use

  • No advertising or tracking cookies
  • No Google Analytics
  • No Facebook Pixel
  • No third-party marketing cookies

3. Third-Party Cookies

When you use certain features, third-party services may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and payment security. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — Authentication and database. Sets session cookies for authentication. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

4. Managing Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner that appears when you first visit our site. You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of Bedly, such as logging in to your dashboard.

5. Data Storage

All cookie data is processed in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).
